While practicing personal distancing . . .
How do you spend your time?
We have converted our dining room into an office, where weekdays are spent putting out The Daily Sun. Between multiple conference calls to plan upcoming editions, I edit stories, lay out pages, work the phones, respond to emails and occasionally give in to our dog's soulful requests to go outside. Weekend are spent recharging my batteries to prepare for next week's cycle.Â
What are you reading?
What are you listening to?Â
What are you watching on TV?
I channel surf, so I'll watch anything but the political talk shows that purport to be news. People confuse those talking-head opinion programs with journalism. They're not.Â
How has this pandemic changed your life?
How has it changed your priorities in life?
Being unable to hang out with and hug my granddaughters has been an adjustment, and I'm grateful when they call me most every night to fill me in on how their days were spent. I'm also grateful that my wife, Janis, is kind and patient. We're co-workers and she sits five feet from me in the "office." Thankfully, she's easy on the nerves and a lot funnier than most people realize.
