BRISTOL — The cause of death of a Laconia resident whose body was found on the side of Bristol Hill Road will have to wait several weeks for the results of toxicology tests, the state’s Medical Examiner’s office said Friday.

Kim Fallon, the office’s chief forensic investigator, said such tests often reveal a cause of death, such as drug overdose, when there is no obvious sign of trauma.

The body found shortly after 2:45 a.m. Wednesday was identified as that of Robert Polito, 50.

Officers found the body after a call was placed to authorities about a medical emergency on the road, which was closed for a time while the incident was investigated.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Bristol Police Department at 603-744-6320.
