Annual Hoop Shoot Championships held in Plymouth

The Plymouth Lodge of Elks No. 2312, recently held its 54th Annual Hoop Shoot Championships, held at Plymouth Elementary School. The local championship featured the school winners selected in each of six divisions from the Ashland, Holderness, Plymouth and Thornton Elementary Schools, with 21 finalists participating in the local championship. The first-place winners will represent the Plymouth Lodge of Elks No. 2312, in the North District Championships to be hosted by the Littleton Lodge of Elks, on Sunday, Jan. 4, at 10 a.m., at Littleton High School. There will be an awards banquet and luncheon after the competition at the Laconia Elks Lodge. The State Championship will be hosted by the Franklin Lodge of Elks on Sunday, Feb. 1. Winners were: Lyla Reed of Holderness for girls age 8-9; Finnleigh Reynolds of Ashland for girls age 10-11; Tenley Tracy of Plymouth for girls age 12-13; Pat Fuller of Plymouth for boys ages 8-9; Derek Hilliard of Ashland for boys ages 10-11; and Masyn Smith of Ashland for boys ages 12-13.
