Southwick School students, families and staff participated in the 39th annual Mix 94.1 FM's annual Cash and Cans Money/Food Drive for the holidays. Founded in 1987 by Fred Caruso, the program has become a cornerstone of local holiday giving. All of the proceeds stay local, benefiting food pantries, soup kitchens and holiday gift programs like Toys-For-Tots across central New Hampshire. Caruso, far right, was on hand to receive the donations and congratulate the winners. Overall, the school collected approximately 1,118 food items, and Carmel Lunt’s second grade class won the competition with a total of 388 items. (Courtesy photo)
