To The Daily Sun,
I want to give members of the Laconia/Gilford Lions Club a huge round of applause and big thanks for donating $1,000 to the Laconia Sachems cheerleading team for their trip to Kissimmee, Florida, to compete against other teams from around the country and do what they love to do.
I want to give special thanks to Matt Soza and Bill Chandler for coming to meet my niece and the rest of her team, presenting them with a check and best wishes.
What makes all of this so special is the fact that so many families simply can't afford to send their children out of state much less all the way down the East Coast.
In no time members of the Lions Club jumped into action and did something extraordinary.
For that I say thanks, thanks, thanks.
With all the uncertainty in our country and state, the Laconia/Gilford area is in the best hands with a group like that ready to act in our best interest.
