Jennifer Roxanne Swain, 48, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Nov. 30, 2025, with her sister and daughter by her side.

She was born on Sept. 5, 1977, in Laconia, and was raised in the Tilton/Northfield area, where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Winnisquam Regional High School. She was born to Lynn (Spicer) Dostie and Stephen Swain.

Jennifer was well known by many throughout the community. She began her career as a waitress at Jim’s Drive-In in Northfield, where she was recognized for her extraordinary hospitality in the service industry. Jennifer was truly a jack of all trades and never afraid to try something new. She proudly worked hard for many years as both a painter and a landscaper with Jones & Jones LLC. Jennifer was never afraid to show up and give her all, earning respect through her dedication and work ethic in every role she took on. She was determined to do and be the best she could, no matter what the challenge.

Jennifer was known for her big smile that lit up every room she entered and for her bubbly, outgoing personality that anyone could instantly love. Her warm smile and uplifting presence had a way of giving your soul a hug — one you didn’t even realize you needed at the time. She was a ball of energy and love, never afraid to share it, especially with those closest to her. She never went a day without making sure that love was felt by others, and for that, we are beyond lucky.

Jennifer was a true nature girl at heart. She spent much of her time outdoors, often scavenging the woods for little treasures from Mother Nature. She would gather these unique items and turn them into her own creative creations, bringing her ideas to life. Her mind was filled with imagination, and creating brought her unimaginable joy. Everything Jennifer did in life was done with purpose and love — and she excelled in both.

Jennifer is survived by her children, Wyatt B. Charbono and Ivy Storey; her sisters, Wendy Swain, Kelly (Swain) Robinson, Stephanie (Swain) Paulhus, Amy Dostie, Andrea Dostie and Felicia Dostie; and her beloved grandson, Giovanni Serrano. She was predeceased by her mother, Lynn Dostie, and her father, Stephen Swain.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home in Franklin. Graveside services will be held at a later date in the spring.

Her love continues to grow, rooted in the earth and carried on by those who loved her.

The Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, is assisting the family with arrangements.
