I am writing today to voice my support for the new Winnisquam Regional School District teacher contract. The proposed contract is a vital step in bringing overdue recognition and compensation for the hard work our teachers provide to WRSD students and our community on a regular basis.
The new teacher contract will create a more equitable salary, provide improved health insurance, retirement, and sick day options. Additionally, the new teacher contract will allow WRSD to become a competitive employer by offering a salary scale in line with other districts in our area. Thereby increasing teacher retention and recruitment of highly qualified professional teachers for our students.
Please show support and appreciation for WRSD teachers by supporting their new contract at the annual WRSD meeting on Saturday, March 22.
