Maeve Shar: Outpouring of love about Miles Collette helps family

We are deeply moved by and grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love that our community has shown for our beloved Miles Alexander Collette. Each kind gesture helps to heal our broken hearts.

We would like to express our appreciation to Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home for graciously accommodating a one-of-a-kind calling hours experience for our family, and to the Gilford town officials and police department for their cooperation in facilitating a unique Celebration of Life.

Foster’s Tavern, Ellacoya Barn and Grille, Lakeshore Market and Deli, Cheers at the Weirs, Jordan’s Ice Creamery and Bayside Diner have fortified us with their generosity.

Fay’s Boat Yard and Patrick’s Pub honored Miles on their signs and welcomed 101 bikers to congregate in preparation for their thunderous tribute.

Laconia Harley-Davidson and High Octane Saloon warmed our hearts by organizing a memorial ride for Miles on Saturday, Oct. 17.

We will never forget the charitable deeds offered in memory of Miles. They are testament to the good fortune we all share as members of this helpful and hopeful community. Thanks for keeping Miles and our family in thoughts, hearts and prayers and know that we count everyone among our blessings.
