Barkcuterie Boards

MEREDITH — At Hermit Woods Winery & Eatery, hospitality has always extended to every guest. Now, it officially includes those with four legs and wagging tails.

Beginning this summer, guests who bring their dogs to dine on the winery's pet-friendly patio or deck will receive a complimentary Barkcuterie Board — a thoughtfully prepared assortment of dog treats served on a custom wooden board, just for their canine companions.

And because no dining experience is complete without something to drink, every furry guest is also offered a refreshing bowl of Chateau Waukewan — Hermit Woods' tongue-in-cheek name for fresh water, inspired by Lake Waukewan, the pristine source of Meredith's drinking water and served with the same care as one of the winery's award-winning wines.

"We've always welcomed dogs to our outdoor spaces," said Bob Manley, co-founder of Hermit Woods Winery & Eatery. "Many of our guests consider their dogs part of the family, so we thought it was time they had their own tasting experience while their humans enjoyed ours."

The complimentary Barkcuterie Boards are available to every dog accompanying guests dining outdoors. Each board features a playful assortment of dog treats, including gourmet biscuits from Bubba Rose Biscuit Co., a whimsical dog fortune cookie, and a few familiar favorites. Together, they create a memorable experience, a fun photo opportunity, and a warm welcome for every member of the family.

Hermit Woods has long been known for its handcrafted fruit wines, meads, ciders, locally sourced cuisine, and genuine hospitality. The addition of Barkcuterie Boards is another reflection of the winery's philosophy of creating memorable experiences that go beyond the ordinary.
