WOLFEBORO — Granite VNA is offering Healthy Steps for Older Adults, a falls prevention workshop to help older adults learn how to protect themselves and live a full and active life, free from the fear of falling.

Balance screenings are Thursday, Oct. 9 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Abenaki Ski Lodge, 390 Pine Hill Road. The workshops are being held on Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. All registered participants must complete a balance screening and attend both workshops.

There will also be a six-week Living with Grief Support Group on Wednesdays starting on Oct. 22, 1:30-3 p.m. Sessions will be held at First Congregational Church, 115 South Main Street in Wolfeboro.

This six-week group session offering for adults is a safe, caring space to share and learn alongside others whose lives and hearts have been broken open by loss. Together, attendees will discuss ways of coping with grief and the challenges of making their way in a changed world. The program is open to people who have suffered the loss of any beloved -— in a partnership, family of origin, family of choice, or friendship.

To register for either program, call 603-410-9519 or visit granitevna.org.
