Leonard Witt: Beware of troops in Chicago today and Sandwich tomorrow

Recently on Truth Social President Donald Trump declared “war” against the city of Chicago. He says the federal police and national guard invasion will rid the city of illegal immigrants and crime, but everyone knows it is about attacking Democratic majority cities. 

Big cities today, but what about solid rural Democratic enclaves like Sandwich where Kamala Harris received 64% of the votes, Trump 36%? 

What might have seemed preposterous in the past is no longer an if, but a when federal troops will circumvent the will of the majority of the people, our local police and our local government and take control of our tiny town. 

Why the advocating of war and brutality against American cities? The answer is simple, the American majority is against billionaire-backed despotic rule. The only way to keep the majority in line, in the words of Trump, is to beat the hell out of them. 

Can it be stopped politically in New Hampshire? Not if Gov. Kelly Ayotte remains governor and the Statehouse and Senate remain Republican controlled. Ayotte has already made our State Police an arm of ICE, even as police forces statewide are undermanned. Why do they need to show up with 20 or 30 highly armed, masked federal shock troopers to arrest mostly meek immigrants who never committed a violent crime in their entire lives? 

The answer: They are using brutal shows of force to intimidate us all. We can allow the intimidation to paralyze us with fear or allow it to stoke the courage shown by Americans throughout history to face down tyrants. Instead of declaring war, we must declare Radical Love to stop the hate and reunite our one nation with liberty and justice for all.
