Firefighters clean up after responding to a small fire at 1 Simpson Avenue in Laconia Wednesday evening. Multiple fire engines, police vehicles and ambulances responded to the scene. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. "It was witnessed by a neighbor walking by with fire on the first floor porch," said Laconia Fire Chief Kirk Beattie. "We got here early enough it didn’t extend into the main part of the house. All the damage was contained to the exterior porch. No one was home at the time. " (Jon Decker/The Laconia Daily Sun photo)
