LACONIA — A Franklin man has been indicted for allegedly taking money for work at a Sanbornton home, but not completing the job.

Donald L. Gray, 45, of Spring Street, in Franklin, was indicted on a charge of theft by deception. The indictment was handed up by the latest session of the Belknap County grand jury, which met Thursday.

According to the indictment Gray allegedly took $4,000 from the property owners for roofing repairs, but then never completed the work.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt. Rather, it represents a finding by a grand jury that there is sufficient evidence for a prosecutor to proceed with a criminal case.

Others indicted include:

Christopher D. Bickford, 40, of 2 Ferncliff Drive, in Franklin, was indicted on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon — a switchblade.

Joseph E. Montaldo, 34, of 16 Linda Lane, in Belmont, was indicted on a charge of forgery, and a charge of theft by unauthorized taking — a dumpster.

Brandon Goupil, 19, of 29 Paugus St., in Laconia, was indicted on two counts of possession of controlled drugs — methamphetamine and the opioid pain reliever buprenorphine.

Shane M. Livingston, 39, 76 Lancaster Hill Road, in Tilton, was indicted for driving a motor vehicle after having been deemed an habitual offender.

Norbeto Luis Perez, 32, of 1 Winter St., #1, in Tilton, was indicted on a charge of selling a controlled drug (subsequent offense) — marijuana.

Bryce Eason Fall, 24, of 26 Vista Heights, in Tilton, was indicted for possession of fentanyl.

Thomas Dufield Jr., 50, of 21 Chestnut St., #2, in Tilton, was indicted on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking. The indictment states that Dufield has two convictions for theft-related offenses within the past three years.

Peter Sylvestre, 36, of 41 School St., #1, in Franklin, was indicted on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Christopher T. Deware, 35, of 37 Deware Drive, in Belmont, was indicted on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of buprenorphine.

Ashley Doherty, 36, of 327 Stockbridge Corner Road, in Alton, was indicted on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking. The indictment states that Doherty has two convictions for theft-related offenses with in the past three years.

Justin Collins, 32, of 21 Yellowstone Lane, in Rochester, was indicted on a charge of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, and another charge of simple possession of cocaine.

Angela St. Arnaud, 24, of 144 Main St., in Meredith, was indicted on a charge of possession of cocaine.

John Shampney, 62, of 274 Beauty Hill Road, in Barnstead, was indicted on a charge of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.

Shane Goss, 40, of 33 Memorial St., in Franklin, was indicted on a charge of burglary.

Mason Gatanti, 20, of 14 Elkins St., in Franklin, was indicted on a charge of sale of fentanyl.
