Michael L. Pevine, 68

FRANKLIN — Michael Lucien Pevine, 68, passed away at home on Sept. 13, 2026.

He was born on Feb. 13, 1958, in Franklin, to Leo A. and Rita A. (Gagnon) Pevine.

Mike graduated from Franklin High School, and then served his country in the Navy aboard the USS Saratoga. He was a proud veteran. Mike later earned an electrical degree from New Hampshire Technical Institute (currently LRCC). He became a master electrician and started his own electrical business in 1998. He continued small jobs after his well-earned retirement last year.

Mike loved nature. He enjoyed deer hunting, though his children would joke that he shot more photos of deer and mouse friends than actual game. He hosted an annual bow shoot with friends and served his dad’s special barbecue chicken. He especially enjoyed family camping trips to Moosehead Lake, in Maine, to fish, look for moose, and enjoy the sunrises over the water. Mike had purposefully planned an upcoming knee surgery for the spring, so he could ski this winter. Then all spring and summer, you could find him in his blueberry and vegetable garden, and you’d better be ready for a tour.

Mike will be remembered by his loved ones for his larger-than-life personality. He always said what was on his mind; you never had to guess. He loved with his whole heart.

He is survived by Kathryn, his loving wife of 37 years. He is also survived by three children, Ashley A. Pevine and partner Buddy of Franklin, Michael Leo Pevine and wife Ashley of Pittsfield, and Jennifer M. Bordeau-Kramer and husband Karl of Watertown, Massachusetts. Mike was the very best Pepere to his grandchildren, Dax Michael Kehoe, Kirra May Kehoe, Michael David Pevine and Malcolm Leo Pevine. He is also survived by his siblings, sister Diane M. Tilton and her husband Michael of Tilton, sister Pauline A. Bennett and her husband David of Meredith, sister Debra A. Letourneau of Newport Center, Vermont, and brother Mark E. Pevine and his partner Kattie of Franklin; and by his dear aunt Leona “Peanut” Daigneau, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mike is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Leo A. Pevine.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, at the Franklin Cemetery. Following the service, family and friends are invited to celebrate Mike’s life from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at The Carriage House at Steele Hill Resort in Sanbornton. In Mike’s honor, guests are encouraged to wear a loud tropical Hawaiian “Corvette” shirt.
