GILFORD — Noah White, manager of Wendy’s, was allegedly assaulted by a customer ordering from the drive-thru around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
The male customer became impatient and hit White through the drive-thru window. White went outside to better identify the vehicle and take photos of the license plate when he was assaulted again. The assailant brandished a firearm, and threatened White before leaving the scene, according to Gilford Police Department Capt. Dustin Parent.
Gilford Fire Rescue responded to the incident as well, treating White on the scene. White was said to have minor injuries and was not transported for further care and continued the rest of his shift on Wednesday.
There is an open investigation into the incident to identify the customer. Parent said police are actively looking for him and this is an isolated incident and not a common occurrence.
“We haven't had anyone come forward to identify him yet. We are still working with Wendy's and their senior management to get the surveillance that's on their premises to see if it's anything that will be able to help us,” Parent said Thursday. “We're hoping to get some answers and some resolution here soon.”
