The View has ended its “12 Days of Christmas” countdown celebration with a joyously decorated new set and a series of holiday-related programming. As festive as the new set looked, and as merry as the “View Your Deal” segment might’ve been, though, that also meant that the show’s 2025 episode slate came to a close last week, and the winter hiatus has begun.
The show will be off air throughout some major moments, including Christmas and New Year’s Eve and Day.
So when does The View officially return from its planned winter hiatus? And what reruns will be airing in the meantime? Here’s what to know.
When does The View return with new episodes?
The last new episode of 2025 aired on Friday, December 19. It was taped the day before, as is customary for the show.
The talk show will resume after its full two-week planned break, starting on Monday, January 5. The show’s audience ticketing agency, 1iota, has revealed several of the dates when episode tapings will take place at the studio, along with some of the celebrity guests who’ll be joining the show for those episodes.

What is the rerun schedule for The View‘s winter hiatus?
Throughout much of the two-week break, The View will continue to run at its usual weekday 11a/10c slot, with the following episodes being re-aired.
- Monday, December 22: The December 2 episode with Jamie Lee Curtis as the featured guest.
- Tuesday, December 23: The December 4 episode with Stephen A. Smith.
- Wednesday, December 24: The December 9 episode with Leslie Jones.
- Thursday, December 25: No episode of The View airs this date due to ABC network’s Christmas Day programming preemption.
- Friday, December 26: The November 25 episode with John Quinones.
- Monday, December 29: The December 17 episode with Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson.
- Tuesday, December 30: The December 11 episode with Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon, along with Sarah Sherman.
- Wednesday, December 31: The December 19 episode with Kumail Nanjiani.
- Thursday, January 1: No episode of The View airs this date due to ABC network’s New Year’s Day programming preemption.
