LACONIA — Mark Wayne Maki, 67, of Winnisquam Avenue, passed away on May 12, 2026, at Concord Hospital in Laconia.
Mark was born on June 12, 1958, in Leominster, Massachusetts, the son of Bruno Arvid Maki and June Roberta (Morgner) Maki.
He enjoyed working on his 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, riding his Harley and boating on his checkmate boat. You could find him walking around car shows checking out the antique and classics or watching his favorite NASCAR racer Kyle Busch.
He cherished time spent with his children and family. He will be forever missed.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Nancy (Manalastas) Maki; children Benny Maki and his wife Marissa, Angela Maki and her fiancé Russell Lapoint, Steph Bullard and her husband Kyle, Megan Abbari and her husband Nabil and Colleen Cook; 10 grandchildren, Najma, Nasim, Nizar, Nasr, Nadim, Kylie, Mckenzie, Aubree, Charlie and Alison; brother Bruce Maki and his wife Peggy; sister Debra LaFreniere; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 18, at St. Andre Bessette Parish at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave.
Burial will follow mass at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street.
