Donald W. Wiggett, 90

Donald W. Wiggett, 90, of Holderness, departed this world to enter his eternal home with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on July 26, 2026, after a period of declining health.

Born in Plymouth, on Oct. 21, 1935, to Willard and Frances Wiggett, Don was raised and educated in Plymouth. He began his 62 year retail work career serving the community at Adam’s Market, a family-owned store in downtown Plymouth, during his high school years. After graduation, he enlisted and served four years in the U.S. Air Force, also working there in a small country store.

Returning to Plymouth, Don resumed his work at Adam’s Market, remaining there 29 years, holding various positions including assistant manager. Here he met his wife, Mary, who also worked there.

When Adam’s Market sold out to Cricenti’s Market, Don continued there four years, becoming store manager in the last year. When Cricenti’s closed, ending his Main Street career, Don continued serving the community at Hannaford, in Plymouth, for another 24 years.

Don was always appreciative of the support he received from those he has worked for and with over the years, as well as the many customers he served.

Don is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary (Hayes) Wiggett of Holderness; daughter Katherine Wiggett Downing of West Virginia; sister Eunice Converse of Rumney; and several nephews.
