LACONIA — Lorraine V. Robie, 88, passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2026, at her home in Laconia, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Aug. 11, 1937, in Meriden, Connecticut, the daughter of Napoleon J. and Marie-Ange (Turcotte) Valliere.

She was raised and educated in Meriden, Connecticut, graduating from Ecole St. Laurent and Meriden High School and was then employed by the C.N. Flagg Co. Inc.

In 1956, she married Paul Bernard Robie and moved to Laconia, in 1960.

She was employed by Cormier Hosiery Mills, Irwin Motors, and by the State of New Hampshire for 23 years, serving as an account clerk for the Laconia State School and the Belknap County Probate Court. On Feb. 20, 2001, she was awarded the “Spirit of the Judiciary Award” by the chief justice of the Supreme Court, David A. Brock, and retired as deputy registrar of probate on Sept.12, 2002.

Above all, Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Paul Robie Jr. of Belmont, Peter Robie and his wife Faith of Laconia, and Marie Liimatainen and her husband Toivo of Laconia; seven grandchildren, Meredith Robie, Levi Robie, and Paul Robie III and his wife Katlyn, Joshua Robie and his wife Paige, Nicole Robie, Reino Liimatainen, Lucas Liimatainen and his wife Kathleen; and 11 great-grandchildren; a niece, Judith Mignogna of Dunnellon, Florida, and nephew, David Mangine of Franklin. Her joy in life was her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her deep faith. She enjoyed any family gathering, attending the kids’ sports games, baking goodies for the team’s ride home on the bus, and traveling with family.

Lorraine was a communicant at St. Andre Bessette Parish where she also volunteered in various positions over the years. She cherished the Bible study class there where she made many friends over the years.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Quality Care Home Health & Hospice for their wonderful support.
