Jeri W. Blair, 80

Jeri W. Blair, age 80, passed away on Aug. 26, 2026. Born Oct. 18, 1945, Jeri was the son of the late Francis and Viola Blair, and was predeceased by his brother, Michael.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; son Michael; daughter Amy Landers; former wife, Janice Jones, mother of his children; his stepchildren and their families, grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

Jeri was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, coach, barber and beagler. For more than 50 years, he barbered in Laconia and Alton, where he built lasting friendships with generations of customers and families.

A talented three-sport athlete at Belmont High School and a member of its Hall of Fame, Jeri later coached basketball, cross country and softball at Belmont and Prospect Mountain high schools. He was inducted into the New Hampshire Coaches Hall of Fame for his dedication to young athletes and the lessons of hard work, confidence, discipline and perseverance he instilled in them.

Jeri was also deeply involved in beagle field trials for more than 40 years. Working alongside his father, Frank, and son, Mike, he raised championship beagles, serving as an AKC and CKC judge throughout the Northeast and Atlantic provinces of Canada. Respected for his knowledge and fairness, he also mentored future judges and was inducted into the Large Pack Beagling Hall of Fame.

Jeri and Barb lived in Lake Wales, Florida, full time since 2020. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his love of coaching and competition, as well as the many friendships and lasting impressions he made throughout his life.

A celebration of his wonderful life will be held on his birthday, Sunday, Oct. 18, at Belmont High School beginning at 2 p.m.
