“Watch the reigning state champion Golden Eagles ‘Protect the Farm’ against the cross-town rival Laconia Sachems under the lights in Gilford,” wrote Danielle Cook, of DC Sports Photos, on Sept. 23, who shared photos from Friday’s game on Monday. Only two points separated the Gilford Golden Eagles from the Laconia Sachems during Gilford’s Homecoming football game, which was rescheduled for the Nor’easter. Gilford came out on top, 33-31, advancing to a 4-0 record on the season. Shown here is Gilford running back Lukas Diaz (4) with wide receiver Lucas Raleigh (12) and Laconia’s Jayden Marrero (24), also a running back.
