PLYMOUTH — Plymouth State University students recently advanced to the quarter finals of the National Collegiate Sales Competition in Georgia. This is the second consecutive year that students from PSU’s sales team have advanced that far in the competition, against a highly competitive field of approximately 70 teams, including some of the largest universities in the county.
This places PSU among the top 40 teams nationwide, and the one PSU student who advanced to quarter finals placed among the top 16 students in the country. This year’s team roster included Ty Bacci, a finance major from Lyndeborough; Lauren Bartnicki, a strategic marketing major from Manchester; Jack Carrubba, a marketing major from Atkinson; and Richard Powderly, a marketing major from Littleton, Massachusetts.Â
Bartnicki advanced to the quarterfinals this year by winning her wild card round. Competing students prepare and deliver a sales pitch for the event’s corporate sponsor after months of preparation.
PSU has consistently placed among the best performing collegiate sales teams and for several years has been the top performer in the Northeast U.S.
