The ice is out, and the beach is in

Kaleece Jude, of Laconia, and her daughter Florence, 11 months, enjoy an afternoon at Weirs Beach on Tuesday. The beach was mostly empty, except for the happy pair, and there was no marine traffic to speak of. But the ice was gone, and duo were basking in the sun of the unseasonably warm day. Others walked along the boardwalk as ducks swam in the channel, as temperatures reached 78 degrees. (Gabriel Perry/The Laconia Daily Sun photo)
