CENTER HARBOR — The Abby Strong Fundraiser will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at The Mug Restaurant, located at 62 Daniel Webster Highway in Center Harbor. Funds raised during the event will help offset medical expenses, travel to specialized cancer care, and the many unexpected costs that come with treatment.
Strong was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer) along with metastatic carcinoma of the lymph nodes in November. Earlier this month, she underwent a liver biopsy after doctors raised concerns that the cancer may have spread. Results are pending.
Along with raising funds, the event is a reminder to Strong she is surrounded by people who believe in her strength and are walking this journey with her, her family said.
