MEREDITH — There will be a barn dance at Meredith Community Center, 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, raising funds to continue the Hannah Mae Chaignot Scholarship.
Tom & Annie’s CaravanBand, from Sandwich, will teach the people attending how to do Contra, Square, Barn, or Kitchen dancing. Partners are not required and all ages are welcome to give it a try and have some fun.
Chef Tim’s Full Circle Food Truck will be on site, and tables and chairs will be available for those who just want a bite to eat and listen to the lively music.
Hannah Chaignot was a 2023 graduate of Inter-Lakes High School whose future was bright. She was accepted to the nursing program at Plymouth State University, loved her family and friends, and worked at Forestview Manor in Meredith, bringing joy and comfort to the residents. At 18 years old, a tragic car accident ended her hopes and dreams. To continue her legacy, a 2025 scholarship will be presented to an I-L senior pursuing a career in a health field for humans or animals.
Donations can be made at inter-lakesscholarshipfoundation.com or by mailing a check for “Hannah Chaignot Scholarship” to Inter-Lakes Scholarship Foundation at P.O. Box 545, Meredith, NH, 03253.
