Now that elections are over certain contributors to the letters to the editor are back to Israel bashing with misinformation. People of Gaza are not starving or dying of thirst, Israel is the most compassionate country in the world despite its war for its survival against terrorists who want to eliminate all Jews and all Israelis from the face of the Earth. Evidence of this lies in the statistics of civilians to combatants killed, a 1:1 ratio, far better than any war in any country to date. Given the fact that Hamas repeatedly hides behind civilians and steals humanitarian aid, Israel is seeking the assistance of a private company that will be in charge of distributing the aid to Gazan civilians without Hamas’s interference. The Palestinian Authority will not be in charge of distributing aid to Gazans at the end of the war. They have proven they are no better than Hamas.
I for one am thrilled that the resolution supported by Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen was soundly defeated as smarter heads prevailed (both Republicans and Democrats).
