Pam Hawkins LaCroix: 3 top-notch Democratic rep candidates in districts 3 & 8

Voters in Tilton, Sanbornton and Belmont are lucky to have three quality candidates running for state representative.

Running in District 3 Tilton-Sanbornton is William Lawrence Jr. A lifelong Tilton resident, Bill is the third-generation owner of Bryant & Lawrence Hardware. He has served on the Tilton Planning Board, Budget Committee, Parks Commission and Main Street revitalization efforts. His priorities are government accountability, fair property taxes, adequate school funding, personal freedoms and local control.

In the District 8 Floterial seat (Belmont, Sanbornton, Tilton) are “The Two Dons.”

Don House is a 17-year Belmont resident and homeowner who serves on the Belmont Budget Committee and is a board member on multiple local nonprofit organizations. His priorities are lower property taxes, saving our schools from practices that are siphoning money away from public schools, more entry level housing, maintaining our gun rights, and keeping our healthcare between us and our provider ― and making it affordable again.

Don Giguere has worked extensively with veterans and the disabled, through the Veterans’ Home and Easterseals. He believes that the State of New Hampshire, along with federal funds, should be a stronger funding partner to provide necessary resources for public education while reducing the property tax burden. Hiking and landscape painting have given Don a great appreciation for New Hampshire’s natural beauty. He strongly supports protecting our natural resources so future generations can enjoy the same New Hampshire that we have. A strong supporter of civil rights, he believes “We the People” must include everyone of every race, creed, nationality, sex, gender identity, and physical and intellectual ability.

So, Belmont, Sanbornton, Tilton voters, get out there and vote blue on Nov. 3.
