To The Daily Sun,

Four Carroll County state representatives have signed up for support from a dark money, Texas PAC that wants to do away with Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Glenn Cordelli (R-Tuftonboro), Katy Peternel (R-Wolfeboro), Richard Brown (R-Moultonborough) and Mike Belcher (R-Wakefield) are among nearly 100 GOP state legislators who are receiving the PAC’s support.

The PAC, Young Americans for Liberty, was founded by former Texas Congressman Ron Paul. He is the featured speaker at all its conventions and his writing and speeches are the bedrock of YAL ideologies.

This from the Washington Post: “Paul has said repeatedly that life before Medicare and Medicaid wasn’t so bad.”

This from Senior Housing News: “Medicare and Medicaid would eventually cease to exist, if ... Ron Paul had his way.”

A New Republic headline: "Abolish Public Schools: Ron Paul's Education Proposal."

CBS News correspondent Dean Reynolds reports, “Paul does not think much of Social Security. He's called it technically unconstitutional, a mess and a failure and he believes it's time to transition out of the program altogether.”

All respected polls say Americans value Social Security, Medicare and Medicare, and parents love their children’s public schools, yet half the NH GOP legislators are in the YAL camp.

Cordelli and Peternel are so deeply aligned with YAL that they took nearly $1,500 each from YAL for an Orlando junket to learn how, in one YAL official’s words, to make government “miniscule.”

Carroll County can send a message to dark money PACS by voting the YAL endorsed team of Corelli, Peternel, Brown and Belcher out of office this November. We want elected leaders loyal to New Hampshire, and not local politicians working as YAL foot soldiers to end Social Security, Medicare and Medicare.
