Len Hanley: Why should taxpayers fund teachings of scientific theories?

In February of last year, New Hampshire House Bill 1206 was rejected by the House after recommendation by the House Education Committee. If enacted, the bill's purpose was to make sure "educators shall not present unproved theories as fact” and “an educator shall not push or assert, advocate for, or compel students to express belief in support for, any particular theory or ideology.” In other words prevent lying to students and indoctrinating them. Red flag much? I think that NH citizens should be made aware if the HEC was in any way compromised by, shall we say profitable motivations, also if any of them are biased in their recommendation.

According to NEA New Hampshire's press release on Jan. 8, 2024, "For reference, evolution was one of the following selections of theories." Evolution is in science textbooks in schools, written by evolutionists, and paid for by taxpayers. But it is not science it's beliefs. It's in the science textbooks to make readers think it's science by including it with actual science, and, unlike Creationists who pay for their own schools, taxpayers pay for evolution beliefs.

This is a few examples of what is being told to children in public schools via evolution:

1. Time, space, and matter came into existence by themselves.

2. Fish changed to amphibians, amphibians changed to reptiles, and reptiles changed to birds or mammals.

3. Eighteen to 20 billion years ago all the matter in the universe was concentrated into one very dense, very hot region that may have been much smaller than a period on this page. For some unknown reason, this region exploded (the Big Bang).
