To The Daily Sun,

This idiotic war on Iran is causing the government to burn through money at an astonishing rate. Within the first 12 days of the conflict, the military blew through $16.5 billion.

Let's say the war goes on for six months. It's estimated that cost will go up to an estimated $360 billion. That will really help our national deficit.

Now that Donald Trump wants to completely shut down passage in the Strait of Hormuz using multiple naval assets, that number is going to shoot through the roof. Since we entered this quagmire, the conflict was “only going to last a couple of weeks.” It's more likely now that it’ll be another debacle similar to the Iraq war.

To pay for this war, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP and Social Security are going to continue to be gutted even further than what the One Big Beautiful Bill inflicted. Trump's response to this is that the individual states should be solely responsible for funding all social welfare programs going forward. If readers think property taxes are high now, wait to see what’s coming. All of this to fund Trump and Pete Hegseth's blood lust. So much for America first.
