To The Daily Sun,
Thanks to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen for signing SR 224 calling for the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Signing SR 224 may save a child’s life. It may save many. It may save children from growing up stunted and unable to function as full human beings due to lack of food and even water for their little bodies. We sit here in comfort while babies and children are starving; while trucks full of food so desperately needed are held up right at Gaza's borders. We wring our hands while politicians play war games with children as pawns.
I admire Sen. Shaheen for standing up for our values and doing what we all say we stand for.
