When I recently listened to Rep. Chris Pappas, I was impressed with his knowledge of congressional issues, his forthright stand on them, and his dedication to democratic ideals. He serves us well.
I find two things especially important in his congressional work. First, he understands what democracy means and works to keep it alive. Second, he understands the importance of relating issues of the day to the clear needs of his constituents. He supports legislation that directly improves the lives of New Hampshire citizens: low-income energy assistance, social security, Medicare and Medicaid, lowering the cost of prescription drugs, privacy rights for women and upgrading of our infrastructure.
He listens to voters and he supports the very wealthy paying their taxes to fund recent legislation.
A vote for Rep. Pappas is an important vote.

I am not able to share the same opinion of Chris Pappas as Ms. Pierce. As a former Democrat, now independent, I am wary of any politician that is not able to separate out what is best for America and what is best for the Party. Mr. Pappas is clearly a party follower and it's time to replace him. I expect my next representative to "have issues" with proposed law and work for what's best for America, not Party Line.
