The Meredith Lions have been busy donating within their community. They hold a monthly food drive at the Family Dollar and all though donations are down, the need is up. The club will not stop assisting those with food insecurity. Member Helen Altavesta, along with other members, purchased school supplies and delivered them to the Inter-Lakes Elementary School. Two large bags full of sweatpants and pajama bottoms were donated to the veteran's home in Tilton. These were requested items and were well received. Providing needed items to those in need are one of the things that Lions do worldwide. To learn more about Lions, go to lionsinternational.org.
