Brian Gallagher: Belknap County is in capable legislative hands

I checked the full moon last weekend to make sure the sky was not falling. The full moon always brings out strange events. The reason being is I have noticed a couple of letters from a nice couple in Alton that the budget in Belknap County may be in serious trouble. After seeing the misleading commentary from the two authors, Ruth and Hunter, I relaxed and realized life is good, as my life in Belknap county is of course in good hands. Folks, life is good and we all blessed each and every day to experience life. We have two fine county commissioners (Peter and Glen) and 18 wonderful and responsible state representatives. The recent letters by the couple from Alton who seem to always want to create conflict is very nonproductive and, frankly, a bit old. Our experienced leadership with Reps. Silva and Howard who have the best intentions for all of Belknap County is what matters the most. I would encourage the two reasonable commissioners who are very smart to continue to work cooperatively with the delegation over the next year or so for us the taxpayers. In term of commissioner Taylor, maybe due to advanced circumstances he should consider like the president and come out of the cellar and represent the folks that elected him. Otherwise move on for what is best for him. The world and county is in good hands and it will last a very, very long time with responsible in leadership. Something to ponder for Hunter? I thank him for his previous service as a former party member.
