BELMONT — A student representative from Belmont High School will be appointed to the Belmont Heritage Commission at the Wednesday, Sept. 16, selectboard meeting. Allyson Rolfe will replace Riley DeGange, who graduated in June, in a non-voting role intended to strengthen civic engagement.
The selectboard will meet at 6 p.m. in the Belmont Mill.
Fire Chief Donald Pickowicz will ask the selectboard to approve the donation of personal tools for use by the department, and Public Works Director Brian Jackes will provide updates on two roads: Leslie Roberts and Westview drives.
A proposal for consideration of software for finances, payroll, taxes and utilities will be heard, as well as an update concerning DubBot, a cloud-based platform that provides quality assurance for government agencies. Essentially, the software scans websites for issues, errors and potential compliance gaps in a gesture toward better communication for residents.
