LACONIA — Roger Arthur Cote, 73, died on Aug. 27, 2026, at Concord Hospital in Concord.
Roger was born on May 8, 1953, in Lowell, Massachusetts, the son of the late Arthur Cote and Doris (Sevigny) Couture.
He worked in various roles in the production control department at NH Ball Bearings for 25 years. He loved to golf, and all New England sports teams, but the Celtics were his favorite team. He loved to boat on Lake Winnipesaukee, camping, and snowmobiling. Roger was inducted into the Catholic High School Hall of Fame, Lowell, Massachusetts, in 2012, for being a 1,000-point scorer during his high school years.
Roger is survived by his wife Susan (Cormier) Cote; son Corey Bickford and his wife Michelle of Meredith; daughters Stephanie Galloni and her husband Peter of Lowell, Massachusetts, Stacy Cullen and her husband Peter of Hampton, Joanne Sanborn of Grants Pass, Oregon, Kerry Dubois and her husband Max of Meredith, and Kelly Bickford of Laconia; 17 grandchildren, Zachary, Jon, Nate, Joshua, Nicholas, Ty, Rowan, Mason, Nellie, Cody, Emma, Gwen, Avery, Logan, Emersyn, Millie and Porter; five great-grandchildren, Savannah, Braxton, Maya, Owen and Olivia; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Roger was predeceased by his stepfather Edward Couture.
He loved everyone and loved life to the fullest. Roger never met anyone personally, or professionally, that did not enjoy being in his company, including former sons-in-law Michael Lange, Brian Kazangian (deceased), Ryan Fitzpatrick and Seng Chan.
A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the St. Andre Bessette Parish — Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave.
A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, also at the St. Andre Bessette Parish — Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave.
A celebration of life will be held later this month. Details will be announced soon.
For those that wish, the family suggests contributions in Roger’s name be sent to the Jimmy Fund for his great-granddaughter Olivia, who has been courageously fighting childhood cancer.
