LACONIA — Police responded to 427 service calls between noon Oct. 2 and noon on Thursday, Oct. 8.
Nine people were arrested.
Melanie L. Sweeney, 45, of Mount Major Highway, in Alton, was charged with simple assault.
Ian Burns, 36, of Middle Route, in Gilmanton, was charged with criminal mischief, and criminal threatening.
Stephanie A. Leblanc, 32, no fixed address, was charged with willful concealment.
John D. Gallentine, 46, no fixed address, was arrested on bench warrants.
Holly A. Chase, 33, of Union Avenue, in Laconia, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
John W. Kelly, 35, of Union Avenue, in Laconia, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking.
Victoria M. Yale, 24, no fixed address, was charged with possession of a controlled drug.
Kenneth M. Miner, 34, of Country Club Road, in Laconia, was arrested on three warrants.
Joshua S. Ellsworth, 32, no fixed address, was charged with criminal trespass.
Officers made 24 motor vehicle stops, and investigated traffic accidents on Weirs Boulevard, Warren Street, Main Street, Union Avenue, Gilford Avenue, and at Pine and Baldwin streets.
Six calls dealt with juvenile matters.
Police investigated reports of assaults on Shepard Street, Main Street, Country Club Road, and at Laconia Middle School.
Reports of thefts on Shane Way, Lyford Street, Court Street, Pleasant Street, Academy Street, Vista Foods, and Rite Aid were investigated.
Police investigated a report of a burglary on Kingsley Avenue.
The report of a sex offense was investigated.
Police investigated reports of criminal threatening on Jewett Street, and on Arch Street.
Officers responded to one mental health emergency.
Police investigated reports of criminal trespass on Weirs Boulevard, Vista Foods, and High Street.
Reports of harassment on Summer Street, Lyman Street, Baldwin Street, and at Laconia Middle School, and at Family Dollar were investigated.
Officers responded to 29 disturbance calls, including 10 which were classified as domestic disturbances.
