As the highly anticipated reboot of Baywatch continues to take shape, more original cast members are finding themselves slipping back into the iconic red swimsuits as they return to the franchise that helped make them household names. This time around, it is Michael Bergin and Kelly Packard who are set to return to the beach.

Bergin will play veteran lifeguard Jack “J.D.” Darius, who arrived on the scene in Season 8 of the original Baywatch and quickly became a staple character, transitioning to Baywatch: Hawaii and the television film Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding. Packard will return as lifeguard April Giminski, who first appeared in Season 8 of the original Baywatch and subsequently returns in the revived Baywatch series as a trusted, seasoned lifeguard. JD and April were in Hobie’s (Stephen Amell) rookie class and have been close friends ever since.

On Instagram, Packard posted a photo of herself with Bergin and David Chokachi, who starred as beloved lifeguard Cody Madison from Seasons 6 through 9. Like Bergin and Packard, Chokachi is reprising his role in the new Baywatch reboot for Fox.

The photo featured the fit trio on the set of the production, with the caption: “What a day! It felt good to be back on set! I can’t believe it has been 30 years!!!!!” Chokachi responded in the comments by writing: “So amazing working with you again, Kelley, with an awesome day, you look so good, superfit, you crushed it.”

Former Baywatch costar Gena Lee Nolin, who played fiery lifeguard Neely Capshaw, also commented on the pics: “Kelly, you look amazing and make all of us Mamas so proud! Cannot wait to watch you guys in action!!!”

Brandy Ledford, who played the role of lifeguard Dawn Masterton on Season 10 Baywatch: Hawaii, also chimed in: “Yayyyy Kelly!!!! Oh my gosh, you look incredible!!!”

The new series will follow the sun-kissed adventures of Hobie Buchannon (Amell), as he follows in the footsteps of his father, Mitch (David Hasselhoff), and becomes a Baywatch captain.

The original Baywatch was a global phenomenon that helped launch the careers of several celebrities, including Pamela AndersonCarmen Electra, and Jason Momoa, among others.  The show will be coproduced by Fremantle and FOX Entertainment. The reboot will air on Fox during the 2026/2027 TV season.
