The 77th Emmy Awards will officially broadcast live on Sunday, September 14, airing coast-to-coast at 8/7c. The ceremony will be televised on CBS and is set to stream live and on demand via Paramount+.

Who is hosting the 2025 Emmys?

Nate Bargatze will officially host the ceremony, as CBS unveiled his upcoming role. The comedian said of the gig, “It’s a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show and I’m beyond excited to work with CBS to create a night that can be enjoyed by families around the world.”

Brown, Stephen Colbert, Jennifer Coolidge, Alan Cumming, Eric Dane, Colman Domingo, Tina Fey, Walton Goggins, Tony Goldwyn, Lauren Graham, Kathryn Hahn, Mariska Hargitay, Justin Hartley, Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, James Marsden, Christopher Meloni, Leanne Morgan, Julianne Nicholson, Jenna Ortega, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Parker Posey, Jeff Probst, Phylicia Rashad, Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, Michael Schur, Sydney Sweeney, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Williams, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. On Thursday, September 11, Brad Garrett, Young Mazino, S. Epatha Merkerson, Hunter Schafer, Ray Romano, and Ice T were added as presenters.

CBS also announced the award show will celebrate key anniversaries with re-creations of their iconic sets, including Gilmore Girls with a 25th anniversary set reveal with Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham; Survivor with Jeff Probst and a Season 50 moment; and Reba McEntire, Karen Fairchild, and Kimberly Schlapman honoring Golden Girls‘ 40th anniversary by singing the show’s theme song on a re-creation of its iconic kitchen set.

Mariska Hargitay, Tony Goldwyn, and Christopher Meloni, along with others from across the franchise, will honor Law & Order‘s 35th anniversary. Eric Dane and Jesse Williams will be on hand for Grey’s Anatomy‘s 20th anniversary.

And the In Memoriam segment will feature a performance by Lainey Wilson and Vince Gill of Gill’s “Go Rest High on That Mountain.”
