GILFORD — Steven Alonzo Earle, 82, of Gilford, had his Earthly journey end peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Sept. 7, 2025.
Born Oct. 14, 1942, he was the son of Clarence and Eva Earle. He was a graduate of King Phillip Regional High School, class of 1962, in Wrentham, Massachusetts.
Steven served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965. He was a licensed practical nurse for many years and finished his work career at Freudenberg NOK.
Through his life he enjoyed summers at Duxbury Beach, horses, writing editorials for the local papers, was a proud member of Laconia VFW Legion and was an avid Patriots fan.
Steven was predeceased by his wife, Elaine McPhee Earle. He is survived by his daughters Tracy McBey (Daniel McBey) and Karen Earle (Kevin Labrie), granddaughters Adrianna Copp, Olivia McBey, Abigail McBey and Lillyah Earle, and great-granddaughter Sahara McQueen, all of New Hampshire; and his sister, Deborah Earle Heon of North Attleborough, Massachusetts.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, at Boscawen Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at the Franklin Elks Lodge.
