Robert A. Marouski, 85, of Laconia, died peacefully on March 14, 2025, at Concord Hospital.

Robert was born on June 23, 1939, in Hartford, Connecticut, son of the late Alex F. and Frances (Setsky) Marouski. He grew up in South Windsor, and was a graduate of Ellsworth High School with the class of 1957. Bob played many sports, was an outdoorsman and was an exceptional golfer. He was well known in the aerospace industry, and owned and operated Madison Machine in East Hartford, Connecticut, and then CNC Specialties in Monson, Massachusetts.

Bob along with Chrissy, his “lovebird” of 45-plus years, relocated to Laconia, and opened The Crazy Gringo, “The best Adult Day Care on the Weirs” and, most recently, The Clubhouse Inc.

Bob leaves his beloved Chrissy Clark, formerly of Monson; his daughters, Jill Dutton and her husband David of Chaplin, Connecticut, Bridget Thurston and her husband James of Tolland, Connecticut, Ellen Marouski of Vernon, Connecticut, and Roberta “Bobbi” Hartling and her partner John Fortier of Lebanon, Connecticut; his stepson, David Clark of Brookline; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his cousin, Richard A. Marouski of South Windsor, Connecticut; and children; Chrissy’s family and many friends.

To Bobby: who lived large and now is with his friends in “High” places.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Friday, March 21, at Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard’s Terrace, Vernon, Connecticut. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Hartford, Connecticut.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and or Alzheimer’s Association.
