Richard C. Stempkovski Sr. of Elkridge, Maryland, and Moultonborough, passed away on Sept. 5, 2025, at age 87.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Kathleen Turyn Stempkovski; children Kathy and Rick; stepdaughter Rebecca; grandchildren Jenna, Owen, Ivy and Marlee; siblings Mary Anne Garner, Jeane Kerrivan and Philip Stempkovski.

Parents Charles and Mary (Kulibaba), brothers Bob and Charlie, and first wife Jean passed before him.

Born June 10, 1938, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the founder of Stempkovski Electric, and he worked on the power needed at the property that was used in shooting of the movie "On Golden Pond."

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Church of the Resurrection, Ellicott City, Maryland. The Roman Catholic Mass will be livestreamed from the Church of the Resurrection website resurrectionmd.org. Select the "Live Stream" button on the homepage.
