Francis Gerard Xavier Doneski passed away peacefully at Sunapee Cove with his son James at his side on Dec. 24, 2025. Frank was 82.
Frank was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, but after college moved to Rumney, where he first taught English. Later he taught in Meredith for a number of years before beginning a long career teaching overseas in London, Belgrade, Yugoslavia, Tel Aviv, Israel, and finally 14 years at the Jakarta International School in Indonesia.
During his years overseas he bought his condo at Tenney Mountain in Plymouth, and returned there summers before retiring from international school teaching. He wasn't done teaching yet, and taught for several more years in Las Vegas, Nevada, before finally leaving the classroom for good.
Frank is survived by his brothers Michael and Peter, his children Keith, James and Jessica, grandchildren Simon, Sanne and Ava, and his many friends and former students.
A private family gathering to celebrate his life will take place this summer.
