GILFORD — David Jason Horvath, 46, passed away on Sept. 6, 2024.
David was born on Oct. 19, 1977, in Fullerton, California, the son of David R. Horvath and Marcia (Lenz) Horvath. The Horvath family has lived in Gilford for over 40 years.
David worked as a paraprofessional for several schools in the Lakes Region. He enjoyed sports and collected sports memorabilia. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers, Celtics, Bruins and the Red Sox. He enjoyed traveling, skiing, and family vacations. He was a graduate of Gilford High School and received an associate's degree from Plymouth State University, majoring in journalism.
David is survived by his parents, David and Marica Horvath, of Gilford; brother Brian Horvath; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family members all out of state. He also leaves behind his beloved black cat Anubis, who was like a child to David.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
For those who wish, the family suggests memorial donations be made in David’s name to the New Hampshire Humane Society, P.O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
