Cheryl E. Aubut, 75

MEREDITH — Cheryl E. (Taylor) Aubut, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 25, 2026, at Golden View Health Care Center.

Cheryl was born Nov. 8, 1950, in Laconia, the daughter of the late Gerald L. Taylor and Elizabeth A. (Hughes) Taylor.

Cheryl leaves behind her sister, Gwendolyn Smith; a brother, Gregory Taylor, and his wife Paige; a daughter, Tammy Giroux and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Trevor Giroux and his wife Renee of Ave Maria, Florida, Makenzie Hulse and her husband Michael of Rumney; as well as great-grandchildren Cohen and Isla and baby Hulse; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was predeceased by sisters Terry Lynch and Lottie-May Taylor; brothers Perry Taylor, Gerald Taylor III and Jim Taylor; and her daughter, Christine Smith.

Cheryl was a kind and quiet soul who loved taking scenic rides in the car, spending time with family, fishing in area lakes and ponds, and writing poetry. She made paper crafts, often creating elaborate displays in the lobby of Golden View for others to enjoy. She found great comfort and delight in visiting with dogs of all kinds, and relaxing at the ocean.

Cheryl will be remembered and deeply missed by friends and family. As we mourn her passing, we celebrate the love, joy, and kindness she brought to this world.

Cheryl placed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and will rest in his loving arms.

There will be no calling hours at her request and her family will celebrate her life at a gathering at a later date.
