ALTON – Shibley’s at the Pier has been feeding hungry boaters for the last 20 years, and as the summer 2017 season continues, staff are eager to continue the annual tradition. Located directly on Lake Winnipesaukee in Alton Bay, boaters can pull right up to the off-shore docks to enjoy a hearty lunch, dinner or dessert.

Open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., guests can have their pick of sitting inside the contemporary dining room, out on the waterside porch or at the full-service bar. Each of the seating areas provides a view of the lake and the comforting feel of a family owned restaurant, according to staff members.

Boaters who are coming for a filling lunch, can choose from the expansive menu, which includes many sandwiches, wraps, salads, hamburgers, pizza, and fresh seafood. As is tradition, the popular lunch items during the summer feature lots of lobster. The lobster roll is made fresh daily and served on a bulky roll. Another lobster filled item is the Lobster BLTRO Wrap, which includes lobster, light mayo, bacon, lettuce, tomato and red onion. Prices and more lunch options can be found online at http://restaurantsaltonbaynh.com/lunch.htm.

For the later crowd of boaters who want to enjoy a meal at the end of a long day on the lake, Shibley’s at the Pier offers a dinner menu that includes many starters, salads, entrees and pizza options.

To go along with the lunch menu’s popular lobster dishes, one of the most ordred entrees includes the Creamy Lobster Linguine, which is made with A Parma Rose Sauce with chunks of lobster, bacon, red pepper flakes and herbs.

However, for those who are a fan of the lakes, but not of eating seafood, the restaurant offers many meat options as well. Whether it is a freshly cooked Filet Mignon, Steak au Poivre or Cashew Crusted Pork, or a Veggie Pizza, there are plenty of options for everyone dining. Shibley’s by the Pier not only offers many traditional foods and flavors, but also has some historical features that make the restaurant unique. In the lounge, guests can check out the 1920s General Motors reach-in-refrigerator and marble soda fountain that are a stable of the century old building.

Guests seated on the balcony can enjoy the weekly tunes from music in the park and have a front row view of the Fourth of July fireworks display. For more information about the restaurant, the menu or upcoming events, call 603-875-3636.

The bar section of the restaurant features an original marble bar and drinking fountain, as well as a reach-in-refrigerator.
