MEREDITH — The Friends of the Meredith Public Library's third book sale this year will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Boxes of books, sorted by category, will fill the function room on the main floor.
There is no admission to the book sale but donations are accepted. Become a new member of the Friends, and receive a canvas book bag which can be filled with books once for free. Book dealers are welcome and scanners are permitted. The Friends use the book sale proceeds to sponsor activities such as the library’s museum pass program, the Humanities Council lecture series and adult and teen summer reading programs. Book donations are accepted, depending on the condition of the book. Members of the Friends volunteer their time to check through every book so no one gets a book in poor condition or missing pages. The library does not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, Readers’ Digest condensed books, magazines or VHS tapes.
The library is located on 41 Main St. The parking lot at the back of the library (off High Street) has ample parking and no stairs.
