LACONIA — The Opechee Garden Club Summer tour returns on July 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m, rain or shine.
The theme of this self-guided tour is “Tea in the Garden” and offers a wide variety of garden styles and an array of inspired ideas for how to cultivate beauty in your own outdoor space. In addition to the lovely horticulture, each garden will present a themed tablescape and some gardens (weather permitting) will feature en plein air artists.
Tickets include a luncheon at the Gilford Community Church. There will be an educational presentation at the church on invasive species of NH. A raffle with prizes donated by members and the community will also be located at the church.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at Appletree Nursery in Winnisquam, the Laconia Public Library, Petal Pushers in Laconia, Beans and Greens Farm in Gilford, the Gilford Public Library, and Cackleberries in Meredith. Tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the event at the Gilford Community Church, located at 19 Potter Hill Road in Gilford.
This event is being sponsored by Meredith Village Savings Bank along with several local businesses. Proceeds will be used to fund local scholarships, donate to environmental non-profits and maintain several community gardens.
Please join us for a lovely day filled with plentiful and pretty plants, environmental education and a delicious lunch.
