Kaylor Lodge, a part-time firefighter for Laconia Fire, travels to Manchester's SNHU Arena for the 18th annual Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship to benefit Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock on Sunday. The game brings firefighters, first responders and police officers from across the state to compete and raise awareness and funds for CHaD. While Team Firefighter held the lead until the third period, Team Police won the game 4-2 — breaking out in a handful of all-in-good-fun hockey fights throughout the last period. Lodge earned $1,794 for Team Firefighter, whose members contributed a total of $67,194, coming behind Team Police, which earned a total of $79,788. Team Buddies contributed $450, for a fundraising total of $147,432. (Katlyn Proctor/The Laconia Daily Sun photo)
