LACONIA — Powerhouse Theatre’s Broadway show choir, the Power Chords, will begin its second session of 2025 on Sunday, May 18, and is looking for new members to join in the singing. This is an adults only show choir consisting of a wide range of ages and experience. There is no audition required to join, simply fill out the registration form at powerhousenh.org/power-chords.
There are three sessions this year, with the third session beginning in August. Rehearsals are on Sundays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Laconia Congregational Church in downtown Laconia. This is a low-stress, fun group of individuals getting together to share in their love of Broadway show tunes once a week.
Music Director Lorraine Barrows said, “I love helping people rekindle their love for singing together. If you sang in choir in high school and/or college or in the church choir, you’ll love this group. We rehearse with humor and patience, use repetition and individual part review to put our four part SATB stage music together. Come make music with us.”
